Summary Warren sneaks into Vick's house and eats his food. Logger Vick finds out. He chases Warren down to a place full of thorns. Inspired by the thorns, he builds a fence of barbed wire to keep the bears away so that they can not disturb him logging. This works until a thunder storm arrives that night. The lightning gives him an idea. He designs a new electric fence. He lures Bramble into the fenced area and locks him up in there.
