Summary Nottingham's thieves are at it again, but there's a new hero in town who routs the villains and saves the villagers cash. With Robin on the run from the Sheriff's men, the new hero, a boy named Taramis, convinces the townsfolk to put all their savings in one chest for him to guard. Of course, the "hero" is actually in league with the crooks - except he plans to double-cross them and keep all the gold coins for himself. Robin and his friends develop an elaborate plan to bring all the crooks to justice.
