Summary After twenty-five years in prison for war crimes Nazi Field Marshall von Splitz is released and evades observers. He and his followers are anxious to trace an atom bomb, jettisoned from a stricken Heinkel in the last days of World War Two. Having questioned and killed two former Luftwaffe pilots they find it in a lake in Germany and intend to detonate it, playing West against East to start another war. The Champions also locate it, after speaking to an ex-R.A.F. pilot who downed the Heinkel and have a race against time to get to the chateau where the bomb has been taken and is slowly ticking...
