Summary 'Arthur's Almost Boring Day': Mr. Ratburn gives his students an assignment to write a short report on what they do over the weekend. Arthur, Buster, and Francine planned on going to the park, but the rain ruins their plans. Arthur doesn't want to play with D.W. because he is embarrassed what the other kids will think. Eventually, Arthur and D.W. go over to Grandma Thora's house/'The Half-Baked Sale': Grandma Thora is a terrible cook, but Arthur and D.W. don't want to hurt her feelings. When Thora tells her grandchildren that she is in charge of the school bake sale, Arthur and D.W. try to come up with a way to keep people from buying Thora's cookies.
