Summary Yu Lifan was assigned to organise a labour strike. When he meets Gu Haitang in the streets of Shanghai, he realises that she is now working as a toilet waste collector, but that doesn't bother him. Meanwhile, Huang Long did not give his labourers their promised salary, so Gu Haitang goes to negotiate with him. Later she discovers that Huang Long is quite weak at gambling so she helps him to win at gambling and together they earn back the salary for the labourers.
