Puhi was chosen at age 12 by the great Tuhoe prophet Rua Kenana to marry his son, Whatu, and goes on to have an extraordinary life of hardship and wonder showing her fortitude through life and death struggles, walking between spirit and real world, as she bears and loses all of her thirteen children but one. "Rain of the Children" is a dramatic documentary in which filmmaker Vincent Ward attempts to unravel and recreate the life story of Puhi, who he met in 1978 when she was eighty years old.

After losing everything, Desiree Wood takes a second lease on life as a long-haul truck driver. Alongside an irreverent group of women truckers, she fights for a life on the road.

The movie follows Stephen Giddings auditioning and acting in a film about addiction, gambling, and mental health, interweaving fiction, interviews, archival footage, real people, and actors, blurring reality and fiction.

The film narrates how Ying Zheng became the king of Qin state in 221 B.C. at 13 and finally the first Chinese Emperor. The excavated Terracotta Army finds, his wars, paranoia's, court intrigues and quest for immortality are also discussed.
