La Plaça del Diamant (The Time of the Doves) is a deeply moving novel written by Mercè Rodoreda. The main characters live at the Plaça del Diamant in the popular Barvelona neighbourhood of Gràcia. The basic story is familiar. An impending conflict looms large. An ordinary shop assistant, Natalia, meets and falls in love with a man, Quimet. He is controlling and somewhat abusive, she fails to notice this and, of course marries him. War, Spanish Civil War, breaks out12. The novel pictures a young woman, Natalia, and her struggles in life as well as her relationships with two men: Quimet, her first husband, who dies in the war; and Antoni, her second husband3. Natalia is an innocent pastry shop worker in pre-Civil War Spain when she meets Quimet, a charming and eccentric man. After a strange courtship they marry and quickly have some lovely children. They are a young, struggling couple but have a nice life in lovely Barcelona4.

As it gets closer to her sons sixteenth birthday, career mother Angela Bryant (Traci Newman) tries to figure out what's going on with her sweet son Luca (Simon Lee) as he exhibits unusual and strange behavior. What she doesn't know is that he's coming into a new ability as a result of tests she allowed to be done to him as a newborn. Luca looks for answers about his new ability and he soon finds a young girl named Salina Woods, who can help him find out the truth about what's happening to him. Luca learns that she is like him, and there are more like them out there.

Mr. Ba's family has two children: Hieu and Nghia. Mrs. Ba forced a girl named Bong to marry Hieu. The marriage was not happy and faced countless obstacles, slowly unveiling the biggest secret of the Ba family in the past.

A psychological character-driven drama, about a fatal accident which causes memory loss to a young, spirited dancer, and the ripple effect of choices, traumas, and circumstances on those closest to her. Saudade is a drama series full of soul, tragedy, romance, and redemption with it's fair share of quirky, offbeat moments we all encounter.
