This surreal Japanese thriller blurs the lines between reality and fantasy as a man searches for his missing wife while all the time he's infatuated with the latest novel by his favourite mystery writer.

Sen Gupta is a doctor who attends only upper class patients and is forced to confront his own beliefs as he discovers rural India. Thereon a transformation starts from being a cold man to being human.

A young woman who has been stricken with infantile paralysis gives up hope and is trying to "will herself" to die. A doctor who has been conducting experiments with patients with paralyzed nerves is convinced he can cure her.

A married woman is living an unexcited life, until she meets a man who is able to put a smile on her face again, at least for one day.

In the south of France, 1960s, a wealthy viticulturist named Marcellin lives with his mother, grieving the loss of his fiancée and entertaining nothing but his work in the vineyard. That is, until he takes on 18-year-old Willie as an apprentice as penance for the boy's impulsive attempt to pilfer wine - and finds himself falling for him as rumors about their relationship swell amongst the gossips of the village.

Zinat is working in the village's hospital. She wants to marry with Hamed but her parents disagree. Finally she marries him and goes to live with him. One day a woman brings a sick child to her for treatment and despite her husband's disapproval Zinat decides to help the child and takes him to the city for the treatment.
