Batman: Taking Flight

Batman: Taking Flight

A fan film developed by fans for fans, we see a version of the Dark Knight developed with inspirations from the past mixed with original concepts by the director/writer (Jai Addison). In Batman's first year, still considered a boogeyman to some, a ruthless vigilante to the police, and a hero to those he's saved, he now faces the threat of the notorious Red Hood Gang. Tuning into his street level fighting skills and developing his detective skills on the job, Batman fights to protect his city from the terror that is this gimmicky criminal organization. Along the way he'll make enemies, cement hope in others and deal with the consequences of his actions.... good or bad...... Batman/Bruce Wayne (Daniel Sultana): After watching his parents gunned down in an alleyway, billionaire Bruce Wayne trained for years to hone his skills to fight the same injustice that took his family from him. Now in his early 20s, he fights the criminal scum of Gotham City as the Dark Knight, The Black Clad Protector.... The Batman. Alfred Pennyworth (Franco Leo): Bruce Wayne's butler and carer since his parents were taken from him, Alfred has always been a loving and fitting parental guardian to Bruce in his later years. Keeping an emotional tether and hold on his humanity, not allowing him to be consumed by his costumed persona, Alfred enables and assists Batman in his crusade against crime and while making sure he never breaks his code of ethics and reminding Bruce of who he is and why he does what he does. The Red Hood Gang (Jacob Vulfs, Brandon Van Der Linde, Jai Addison): This violent and cultish group of gangsters are considered the new and more terrifying criminal element of Gotham. The beginning of Batman's gimmicky villains, these criminals make the likes of crime lords Sal Maroni, Carmine Falcone and other big bosses look like common purse snatchers. Murder, theft, any horrid action, these three have done it. Though karma may have more in store for them than they'd like to believe.... Commissioner Gillian Loeb (Jim Lavranos): The current Commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department, unlike his comic book counterpart, this version of the character is 100% committed to stopping crime in his city, his hard boiled exterior a sign of his time in the force. Captain James Gordon (Mason Frost): New to Gotham and fatherhood, James Gordon is the most honest and caring officer Gotham has seen in many years. Hard working and steadfast, Gordon is determined to help take down the Red Hood Gang, working close with his boss Commissioner Loeb to make sure the criminals face justice for their terror. Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin (Nathaniel Savaris): Almost a dark image of what Bruce Wayne could have been, Cobblepot is a corrupt entrepreneurial figure, a member of one of the richest families in Gotham's history, despite not originally having been born there. Behind his public guise, Oswald is a feared but highly respected criminal among his peers and works with big heads like Sal Maroni, going by the nickname "The Penguin" for his large frame and his hooked nose, as well as his affinity for black and white suits.
