S1.E1 ∙ The Disturbance

Two city kids specializing in small-time scams are blackmailed by the police to help nail a mobster. Going undercover at a correctional resort, they meet a hit man who runs an illegal horse race.

Director Jissoji Akio first introduced Shirubâ kamen (1971) as 26 episodes aired from 28th November 1971 until 21st May 1972 by TBS. The mask of "Shiruba Kamen" was inspired from western knights headpieces and was a novelty for that era filled with cyborg-like costumes of Urutoraman and insect-like costumes of the Kamen Rider series. The hero was fighting space aliens with the simplicity of "Silver". After more than 30 years, just like in the final episode "Andromeda 2001", Jissoji Akio is back with a new "Shiruba Kamen" (2007) and a story that grew to maturity. It might be surprising that the new hero is in fact a young woman (Zabine) daughter of a Japanese father and a German mother. But this twist of story is only following the pulse of time and the natural evolution of society in Japan and elsewhere. The "Shiruba Kamen" (2007) (aka Silver Mask or Silbermask) is split in 3 equal parts, the present, the past and the future, each part having been shot by a different director and cinematographer. And so, the characters travel through time, history and cultures, the middle part being conceived as taking place in Germany. Even hardcore 1971 fans will find themselves in sync with the new reality of "Shiruba Kamen" (2007) since evolution is undeniable.

During the war precipitated by a Tartar invasion, patriotic swordsman Miao Lung sets about eliminating a series of messengers carrying twelve imperial decrees fashioned in the form of golden medallions.

A group of criminals gather together for aggression therapy in the forest and things soon deteriorate to arguments, fist fights, thievery, and stabbings. To make things even worse, a vicious space monster is running around slicing up the stray criminals with razor sharp claws.

Marion Hastings, absent from her Australian home, Rangle River Station, for many years while completing her education in Europe, receives a letter from Dick Drake, her father's ranch foreman, demanding she return home immediately. Marion, together with her chaperon, Aunt Abbie, flies home. While making flight connections at the Singapore Airport, they meet Flight-Lieutenant Reginald Mannister, an Englishman on his way to India. Attracted to Marion, however, he switches his tickets and embarks for Australia, receiving an invitation to stay at Rangle River Station. Upon arrival, Marion discovers Drake fighting with a rival ranch-foreman and, properly disgusted with his improper manners, she gives him a good dressing-down regarding his "brutal exhibition." Arriving at the old homestead, it is obvious to Marion why she has been called home; Rangle River Station is being beset by drought. Meanwhile, Lawton, a neighboring ranch-owner who has designs on the meat-contract held by Dan Hastings,endeavors to impoverish Rangle River Station further by secretly blocking off on his property, the river from which Hastings' cattle get their water. Meanwhile, Reggie flies over Lawton's property and confirms his suspicions that Lawton has dammed up the river. Lawton blows up the dam to free the water. But Marion is galloping up the dry river-bed and is trapped by the torrent of on-rushing water.
