Summary Like every year, Paul goes to the grave of his late wife on the anniversary of her death. He was amazed to discover a strange text on the grave. Another fact disturbs him even more, it is the corpse of a fierce harpy, an eagle of imposing size, drained of blood and attached to the back wall of the tomb. His investigations lead him to the tomb of Eugène Delacroix, which is located in the same cemetery in the north of Paris. He discovers that Cédric often came to this cemetery. Paul loses consciousness in front of Delacroix's tomb, for no apparent reason. Members of the community of specters believe that humans are incapable to face the Apocalypse. They decide to opt for a solution that they absolutely wanted to avoid at the beginning, but the situation requires action, and quickly. They will call on other supernatural forces, until now considered as fictive legends.
