Mark is delighted with mother's surprise: a mini-disk-player, for demos, like Betty's producer suggested when turning down his first one 'though showing talent', Paulien is imposed a gynecologist appointment and warned not to chase Dede by wedding demand. Although not amused by Betty telling him he must leave Fran to Mark, Ben grumpily makes up with his junior buddy, who assures him not to have found out any secret from his past but keeps asking why it's a secret. Melissa sulks as George's wife had his accounts blocked and promises Freek to deal with Dede 'for once and all' when the comic artists competition results are out.
