S2.E5 ∙ De afrekening

An opera company touring rural Vietnam is beset with personal, political and sociological infighting. The company's two lead actresses' friendship is threatened with romantic entanglements involving past and present boyfriends. issues like pregnancy, abortion, gambling, adultery, poverty , women's rights and spousal abuse as well as the relevancy of old, less popular operas and the role of the entertainer during times of economic upheaval are considered. The film uses a parallel stage/realty, "drama-within-a-drama" construct.

The heroes of the film are students of the pedagogical university, those who are to carry knowledge to schoolchildren after a year or two, "to sow reasonable, good, eternal". In the meantime, student practice. However, the practice is not quite ordinary. For students to leave for the first time far from their home university, for the first time to meet at the lesson with schoolchildren, not in the presence of their teachers, those with whom life confronts them every day at the institute, but with those who have already been working for a number of years at school.

We were all born with PRIDE. Pride is the first sin to enter a man's heart and the last to leave. What happens when people possess a form a pride that has ruled their entire lives due to their past experiences? Each prideful person in this film can only see life from their own perspective.They only care about themselves. They have it all figured out, but little do they know that pride precedes a fall, and a proud heart will cause God to become their greatest enemy. Their pride will soon bring humbleness and destruction. The famous saying is that " You should be careful how you treat others because you never know when you will need them."

The film is about three separate stories. Engin and Arzu are a couple who love each other. Engin's father is a rich businessman. Arzu sings in casinos with her band, but Engin's father does not approve of this. Money is needed for Ömer's eye surgery, but they cannot find enough money. Members of the White Butterflies group want to become famous.
