In the late Zhou Dynasty, the King of Zhou acts arbitrarily and exhausts all resources to build up his military power, causing the people to live a miserable life and the country to be on the verge of collapse. The story is based on Chang 'an in the period of Emperor Yizong of Tang Dynasty, the Five Fingers Mountain of Buddha which located on the road the West, and the design prototype of Lin Tuyi, the leading role, is based on Erlang God.
