She currently focuses her efforts on helping mothers worldwide. In 2010, Turlington Burns founded a nonprofit organization called Every Mother Counts. The organization is dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother and supports maternal health worldwide in countries like Tanzania, Haiti, Bangladesh, and Syria. In March 2016, Every Mother Counts was recognized as one of Fast Company magazine's Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Not-For-Profit.
