Summary Dreadwing has Gangrin create a mind-controlling device, and uses it on the Dragon Flyz' dragons. The group is ambushed during an amber retrieval, and again even when no one except Aaron knows their location. Then the dragons turn on their riders, unable to fight Dreadwing's orders to attack them. Apex and Z'nith have to race against time to find Dreadwing so she can use the machine's power to channel her telepathy into the dragons' minds and free them from Dreadwing's grip.
