Summary While being chased by Dreadwing, who wants to capture her so he can exploit her ability to mentally communicate and manipulate dragons, Apex evades him by flying Blaze Wind through a group of free dragons, and sees one of their cubs breathes fire in a way that can transform ordinary stone into amber crystal. She is kind to the herd so they bargain with her to give the crystal in exchange for Airlandis supplying them with food. But when a group of citizens set up a base on Earth to help the Dragon Flyz transport Airlandis' fuel, Nocturna discovers them and tells Dreadwing, who captures the cub.
