The story of the life of four urban teenagers in contemporary Iran in their own words. In order to make a film about the lifestyle of these teens, which is quite different from the life of the previous generation, the filmmakers decided to place the camera in their hand and ask them to film their own life, under the supervision of the directors during a year.

In spite of the overwhelming adversity they face, rays of hope shine through for two Zambian families of Aids-orphaned children.

The mirror is broken but, what are the pieces reflecting?

Tells the stories of children from six diverse Muslim families in the greater New York area through their own voices and experiences. The film explores the daily routine and experiences of our Muslim protagonists as they search for their own voice and identity; allowing them to share a 'slice of life' with the American public, challenging and explicating stereotypes of a race and religion.

'Jaso' is a movie about a young girl who swallowed lye, after mistaking it for water, while living in Liberia when she was a toddler. The lye is caustic and burned her esophagus. She was adopted by a family in the US and now undergoes regular surgical procedures which allow her to swallow food and to live a healthy life.

One night, Colette sees from her window a large fire on the ground on the other side of the road. The next day, she hears the sound of hammers and sees huts growing between the trees. Curious, she decides to cross the road towards those strange inhabitants. She is welcomed by a Gypsy family from Romania. Gradually, Colette binds deeply with Eva, Sami and their two children. Despite their precarious situation, she believes in their great abilities and wants that to be known. She decides to convince people of her town, neighbors and elected representative, to cross also the road. Step by step, The family's life improves, but unfortunately the police intervention puts an end to their hopes and dreams. All seems lost, and yet everything is still possible.
