Summary Community Heroes is a program that highlights people in the Latin American community that are using their talents to help others around them. This show talks about Maria Aparecida, a true heroine in her community. She doesn't have much to give, but she gives literally all that she has to the poor and needy. She leaves the window of her humble home opened for anyone who is in need, and provides clothes, medicine, first aid assistance,breakfast, lunch, dinner, and whatever else she can give. She also has a 54 year old handicap son, and has taken into her home a whole family and individuals that had no other place to go.
