Summary Viola Widegren was a 17 year old orderly from the North of Sweden who after having visited her parents on Dec. 5, 1948, has not been seen since. She was pronounced dead in 1969. Stig Wennerström, a Swedish colonel in the Air Force, spied on behalf of the Soviet Union from around 1948 until 1963 when he was arrested. In custody, he tried to commit suicide in October 1963, but was saved.
