Na ceste po Nairobi

Summary With Jiri Bartoska and Miroslav Donutil on a safari with the backdrop of the big city, in slums and beautiful colonial villas and on the Maasai market, where shoes are made from used tires. Originally a railway station in the middle of nowhere and a tent camp, which in one century has become one of the most important African capitals. The foundations of the Kenyan capital date back to the end of the 19th century, when a railway depot was established next to a nearby stream. The Maasai creek was called Uaso Nairobi (cold water), hence the name today. Today, the museum is famous for its famous railway times, where the train that Meryl Streep arrived in Nairobi in the feature film Memories of Africa is on display. The current appearance of the city includes gigantic slums, a dump controlled by drug gangs and beautiful colonial villas. The Bata company opened a factory here in the 1930s, but the cheapest shoes are made from used tires and bought on the markets. Nairobi is a city of countless social problems such as overpopulation, crime and a bad environment, yet there are many indications that it may one day become the modern center of the African continent.
