Children of the Deaf is a documentary on the relationship to language, sound, silence, and movement of hearing children born to deaf parents. How do they combine deaf culture with 'hearing' culture ? How do they deal with exclusion and belonging in these two very distinct worlds ?

The filmmaker's 200 year old ancestral house in a remote village is dismantled and gets reconstructed elsewhere in an open air museum.
