"In the Wake of Love" is a very personal and in depth documentary feature on the profound effects Alzheimer's diseases has on the family and on the self. The film follows the daily life of Jean Higgins, a widow in her late seventies, who now lives with her son's family as she struggles with the advancement of the disease. This is not your typical documentary on Alzheimer's disease. "In the Wake of Love" is a special movie which ditches many conventional documentary conventions, such as narration and titles, in favor of a more impressionist journey through emotional existence. "In the Wake of Love" will make you laugh and make you cry, but more importantly it will imbue you with a sense of wonder and purpose, and inspire your very perceptions on love and existence.

During his trip he played gigs at bars and music festivals and did some street performances raising money for charity. Robin White has been a significant New Zealand artist since the 1970s. Her recent collaborative work with Leba Toki and Bale Jione is inspired by her experience of living for many years in Kiribati, in the central Pacific. Both Toki and Jione are from the Fiji Islands, which is renowned for its masi [barkcloth] work. Barkcloth is a material created throughout the Pacific, incorporating unique cultural aspects of each region. These works reference the artists' Baha'i Faith, the history of indentured Indian labour in Fiji, the sugar industry itself and the tensions and opportunities that arise from the diversity that constitutes contemporary Fiji today.

Frances Cinderella Garcia is a developmentally disabled Pilipino immigrant. Her brother Benjamin Garcia works for the North Los Angeles County Regional Center which provides services to people with developmental disabilities. Their story describes how Pilipino families with special needs children have built a community of support in the North Los Angeles area of California.
