Shadows of the Past tells the story of a Russian dissident who protested the invasion, the daughter of one of the hundreds of people killed by the invading soldiers, a Soviet soldier who played an active role in the invasion and a Czech driver who witnessed the shootings. The stories of these everyday people, playing out in the background of a decision by powerful politicians, are a confrontation of motivations, attitudes, judgements and also of the repercussions they faced for their decisions. All this from todays perspective forty years later.

OASIS, a documentary: because in the middle of a desert of despair, there is always an Oasis.

Follows the young couple, Vivi and Peter, who just want to enjoy their free time and the upcoming engagement as well as their families. The couple's parents are convinced Social Democrats who try to make it clear to the young people why the party's work is important. Through the meeting with a veteran from the war, the young people experience why both pacifism and agricultural reforms are the only way forward for Denmark.

What is tradition? Asks Zaniki to his grandfather. 'Tradition is to teach the next what we have been taught. And so all life. So that, we do not forget who we are nor where we come from.'
