'The Desert of the Desert' is a feature documentary about one of the longest-running and least- known colonial conflicts and the plight of the Sahrawi desert nomads of Western Sahara since Morocco's 1975 invasion. Shot in Jan./Feb. 2014 in the Saharawi Liberated Territories of Western Sahara, and in the Saharawi Refugee Camps in Tindouf, Algeria, the film shows the saga of the Sahrawis, their struggle to regain their homeland and the sad paradox of a nomadic people forced to live in confinement. During production, the crew made a rare treck through 3,000 kilometers of bleak and dangerous desert, becoming unwitting participants in the conflict when their jeep was blown up by an anti-tank mine less than a kilometer from their destination on Western Sahara's Atlantic coast

This film tells the stories of Japanese, Korean and American survivors of the Atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Their stories unfold through the journey of Yoko and her music teacher, a survivor of Hiroshima bombing. Yoko's journey is paralleled by that of David, an American boy who learns of the bombings through Hollywood movies and World War II propaganda. Both Yoko and David end their respective journeys with questions to the authorities who make war. This film pulls no punches in targeting humanity's gruesome dance of death, puppeteer-ed by scientists, military and politicians at the highest level, playing nuclear roulette with our lives. Featured as narrator of the film is the celebrated TV talk show host, Phil Donahue.

'Beyond Borders: Personal Stories from a Small Planet' is a creative burst of defiance and hope by youth around the globe who are overcoming the huge obstacles that have defined their lives. It's an inspiring compilation of 9 short films written, shot and edited by teenagers who weave documentary filmmaking, animation and archival footage to tell personal stories on what they most fear and how they build security in their lives.
