Summary Santino begs for Julia not to send her mother Esmeralda to the nursing home. Julia reads her mother's diary where Esmeralda wrote her fondest memories with her daughter. The next day, Julia visits Santino at the monastery, and she tells the boy that she is no longer bringing her mother to the nursing home. Meanwhile, to get back at the priests, Enrique hires a detective to investigate for any information he can use against Father Jose and Father Ringo. Enrique becomes desperate to have his casino built in Bagong Pag-asa which is totally opposed by the townspeople. One morning after the mass, Enrique exposes to the public the past crime of Father Ringo.
