What is the mental legacy and set of values that the liberal late 1960s and early 1970s gave to the people who were born and grew up during that time, to the people who are now approaching middle-age?

Thomas, the protagonist of this autobiographical film, lives with his husband Felipe in Geneva. They are both film students who love each other and also like women. However, these love triangles result in jealousy, and Thomas has a troubled relationship with his parents. This intimate and exuberant film presents an impressively honest and melodramatic snapshot of a phase in a life.

In late summer, retired Swedish couple Lena and Gunvall Carlsson spend their days doing nothing out of the ordinary. The grass is cut, mushrooms are picked, alcohol consumed and corporate grocery stores discredited. In Carlssons the joy of everyday life and the mundane takes centre stage.

'Guiding Rhythms' is about his relationship with his parents who, despite some rocky moments, hope to ensure that nothing is ever really out of his reach.
