S2.E4 ∙ Hackathon

A man is inside a store where the shutter door is half closed. There are no customers at this store, and although the sign says "Boseong Tile Interiors,"the space is filled with canvas, art tools and unfinished paintings. The man stays here every day from morning until sunset and spends his day painting on canvas or resting on the rocking chair. His repetitive routine forms a part that holds his life together, and yet, it also disconnects him from the world outside the shutter door. Unlike the seasons of the world that flow from summer to autumn, from winter to spring, his time floats around in unknown places. From a corner in this small space, the film carefully observes his time crisscrossed with doubt and resolution.

An intensely experimental piece of cinema. A sketch for McMullen"s later films and theatre experiments. It's subject is the French Resistance movement of the Second World War and the traumas suffered by the ex-Resistance fighters unable to cope with the memory of War or their loss of a role in Peace time conditions. Resistance investigates the concept of Resistance both politically and psychoanalytically. The resistance of of an individual to the exposition of his own unconscious becomes the dramatic focus of the story. It is a uniquely radical journey both in cinema and in the evolution of the text. It is always insightful with imagery striking in it's singularity.

In February, 1950 the world's largest bomber takes off on a secret Cold War mission from Alaska. Its cargo - a MK IV nuclear bomb. Halfway through the mission three engines catch fire while the bomber is flying near Canada's west coast. Forced to abandon the mission, the crew puts the plane on autopilot, a course that will take the crippled bomber out into the Pacific. Despite the largest search and rescue mission in US Air Force history, the aircraft, five crewmen and their nuclear weapon are presumed lost in the depths of the Pacific Ocean - until now.

Folie à Deux - madness made of two is set in one of England's finest houses. The central character, Helen Heraty, is a tour de force - beautiful with typical English Rose looks (she was the face of LK Bennett in 2010) but no wallflower. Always ready for a fight, Helen is ambitious, strong, brave single mother with 7 children and a dream to turn one of Britain's most historical buildings into a 72-roomed boutique hotel. She lives her life with a conviction that borders on madness and when the financial crisis and family tragedy threatens to crush her dream it is her strength of character that will have you saluting her and wanting to share her extraordinary story with others.

Juninho, Menor, Neguinho, Adilson and Eldo are young dwellers of Nacional's neighborhood, Contagem's suburbs. Divided between work and fun, crime and hope, each one of them will have to find ways to overcome the obstacles and tame the tiger that they bring inside their veins.
