'Heart & Soil' is a family documentary that clips along wit the pace of barefoot children and frolicking livestock. The film takes us on a journey into the rich landscape and lives of farmers in the southwest and into the bustling energy of farmer's markets and farm to school programs. The farmers are an inspiration about cycles of life, and the importance of small scale farming as a means toward better personal and planetary health.

Mica, is a classic young teen. Enthusiastic. Idealistic. Dreaming baseball. At 13, he is studying for his Bar Mitzvah, the Jewish coming of age rite. An earnest kid, he takes to heart his Rabbi's requirement to help "heal the world." Imagining himself a savior of sorts, he launches a grand plan to send baseballs to Cuba, a country with a mysterious pull. He knows only that Cubans are poor and love baseball-and that Cuba saved his grandpa's life. On a hunch, his award-winning filmmaker parents pick up their camera. They know the U.S. embargo with Cuba-and the complications of growing up-will throw him a curveball.

My Brother Mike: A documentary about soulful music, mental illness and family love. Independent film maker and mental illness advocate Lisa Sheridan, produced the film My Brother Mike and the CD soundtrack Tuesday Side of the Street as a tribute to her brother, songwriter and blues rock pianist Michael Sheridan. When Lisa learned that her brother was having memory loss, after many decades of his living with mental illness, she began the five year project of preserving some of her brother's work. The film is an intimate portrait of Michael in interviews showing his unpretentious idiosyncrasies, captivating footage of him in recording sessions and reflections from family members about living with mental illness for over forty years.

By tracking them through all the efforts they have made to get out of the dilemma, the film shows how different they are from their parents in understanding the concept of marriage. When the global trend of urbanization forces them to choose between loves they have been pursuing and parents who live in their hometown and need them to take care of, what should they do?
