Highly specialized Canadian Medical volunteers arrive at the Main Military Clinical Hospital in Kyiv, Ukraine, they help make a difference in the lives of wounded Ukrainian soldiers, victims of Russia's invasion of eastern Ukraine.

A returning Iraq veteran, feeling isolated from the country which raised him, struggles to resolve his new view of war and America. The use of darkness, shadow, silence, and light illicit the characteristics of a national conversation that is not happening. On the streets of Minneapolis, he strips down the phrase, 'Support the troops,' and asks the audience to consider...a different point of view.

The film opens ominously with a military widow awakening on the day of her husbands Military funeral. Although, overwhelmed by unimaginable grief, her concern is focused on her now fatherless son. A story set amidst a hero's funeral and the painful ensuing days thereafter. For Right and Freedom places a graphic emphasis on the American Flag and portrays the depth of a marines love of his country, a wife's commitment to bring strength to others who have lost, and a young son awarding a final salute to his fallen father.

An intimate portrait of American dissenters, who oppose the U.S. invasion and military occupation of Iraq, reflecting on their personal participation as engaged citizens in a time of war. Filmmaker Robbie Leppzer chronicles the story of individuals living in one area of New England, including middle and high school students, college students, teachers, clergy, community activists, and war veterans, as they take part in vigils, marches, theater performances, and civil disobedience sit-ins to protest the war.
