Summary In this programme we meet 'attachment parents'. These are mothers who breastfeed their children on demand and only stop when the child decides they are ready - it is not unknown for a child to still be breastfeeding at the age of 7. Other aspects of AP (attachment parenting) include sharing your marital bed with your children, carrying them in a sling past walking age, not putting your child in nappies and 'unschooling', an extreme form of home education where kids only learn what they want when they want.
