Summary Like an earth-bound sea urchin, the hedgehog is the European version of the North American porcupine. In this film, we follow the exploits of Niglo, a young hedgehog, from the end of hibernation to courtship rituals; we discover the habits of this strange animal, which has become established in Europe and French-speaking North Africa, but also in New Zealand, where it was introduced by the British. Today, this warrior with the ten thousand bristles is often a good friend of the gardener, protecting his plots from beetles, slugs, and insects of all kinds.
