The Downtown YMCA in Los Angeles is a melting pot of ethnic diversity. Here is an uplifting look into one of it's most successful programs - the Senior Swim workout program - with interviews of staff and participants. It's created for the Y by 3 first term film students at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena.

After 3.5 years of being in a wheel chair and being told she will never walk again, a young girl named Bethany began searching for answers. After discovering the raw food diet, amazing things began to change in her body. Bethany's Story is a documentary about a girl who used healthy food choices to resolve her paralysis and begin walking again. This true illustration of the power of food to heal the body is too compelling to be ignored. The goal of the production team is to use this story as a means to inspire others to embrace and live a better life.

'Thirty-six years ago, I filmed Soraya and Pascal's wedding in the most famous suburbs of Paris, Aubervilliers. Last year, I wanted to find out what had happened to the couple whose wedding day I had filmed from morning till late at night. A lot has happened both in the life of Soraya and in the city of Aubervilliers. Soraya is now a very pretty woman in her 50s. She has three girls and is a sales agent in a large firm. Extracts of her wedding are shown in the film and the rest is filmed today with a surprising ending.' Michele Rosier

Synchronicity is a sensitive and thought-provoking portrayal of French quantum physicist Francois Martin and his relationship with synchronicity, or meaningful coincidence. The film relates Martin's transformation from hard-core physicist to someone who embraces synchronicity as an enriching gift. It follows him in intriguing encounters with, among others, a French puppeteer, a Tibetan Buddhist monk, and his own aging mother. Martin also meets scientists at the CERN particle accelerator in Switzerland, where he demonstrates the analogy he sees between quantum physics and synchronicity. Martin's gradual unpacking of the underlying interconnectedness between things, is interspersed with reconstructions of two fascinating instances of synchronicity from England and Finland, creating a film which invites viewers to open themselves up to the unexpected, to the delight of synchronicity.
