Summary
The two teams are given this week's challenge: to devise an original and well-executed quiz Show.
Jeremy Beadle will be the presenter for both teams, and Greg Dyke has organised two substantial prizes. Gina impressed Greg so much last week that he keeps her as producer, but moves her to Team A to see how she copes with different team members. Rob becomes the producer for Team B. The teams get a chance to visit the 'Deal or No Deal' studio, watch Noel Edmonds presenting and meet the production team. Richard Van-Treit, the studio manager, gives them some good advice.
The teams begin to think up possible new formats for a quiz show. Team A's editor, Jeremy Salsby, likes their idea but recommends that they play it out and rehearse thoroughly to iron out any problems. Ruth Joseph, the Team B editor, also likes their format, but she tells them it needs interesting, brain-teasing questions and answers. Gina's team doesn't rehearse and has a painful session with Jeremy Salsby.
Team A is still trying to make up for lost time. They need 100 questions and answers, each verified by two different sources according to Greg's rules, and this must be completed by the end of day three. Gina and Johnathan meet Jeremy Beadle and outline their show, 'Beadle's Bluff', to him. Next it's Rob and Karen's turn to explain their show, 'Truth and Lies', and it becomes apparent that Jeremy thinks their format is too complicated. Team A has a major problem: Lola has not verified the answers to her questions, but Johnathan and Rebecca finally get everything done and agreed with minutes to spare.
Final rehearsals and filming take place. Rob introduces Jeremy Beadle to the revised format, but it is still too complicated. Team A has problems within the team. Gina rehearses the contestants but leaves Jeremy in the Green Room.
Greg, Ruth, Jeremy S and the two teams get to watch the shows. Team B's revised format is still too complicated. It is obvious that some of Team A's answers are wrong. Both shows are saved by Jeremy Beadle, but he is unimpressed with the whole thing.
Greg makes his decision: Rob's Team B is the winner. Greg sees Gina and her researchers to find out what went wrong. There is a great deal of bad feeling and harsh words within Team A. Lola is sent home for providing the wrong answers, but Greg allows Gina to remain.
