Summary -A beautiful dream. Some 15 muskoxen were captured on Ellesmere Island and brought to Nunavik in the 1960s. But the Kuujjuaq breeding farm project aborted and the animals were released back onto the land. Today, there are more than 7,000 muskoxen in Northern Quebec (in Canada), and this rapid expansion is causing concern among the Inuit.
