The Coriolis Effect Explained

Summary The Coriolis Effect occurs because objects at the equator rotate around the Earth faster then objects closer to the poles. But air is free to move north and south. When it does it will move into an area where the air is moving faster or slower and move ahead or fall behind causing a rotation. If the rotation is fast enough a hurricane can result. Maybe a diagram will help.
