S1.E7 ∙ Spacecraft Testing

Family work is an Ukrainian documentary film. It tells us a story of three families from the Eastern Ukraine, stereotypically Russian-speaking part of the country. When the Russian military intervention started in Ukraine in 2014, all families members decided to defend their homeland from the Russian aggressor. It has become a family work for them.

During the six years of the Second World War, more people went to the cinema than ever before, to see British films of an unprecedented high quality. Was the wartime period the golden age of British cinema, as many have suggested?

During Timor's brutal occupation by Indonesia thousands of children were stolen, as were many of the country's resources. This is 'Jose' Abdul Rahman's story. In 1978 Jose, eight at the time, was hiding on Mount Matebian when a plane dropped a bomb, killing 22 of his family. He survived, fled the mountain and started following an Indonesian Battalion. The soldiers forced Jose, and many other boys, to work as porters. In 1979 the soldiers took the children by ship to Indonesia.

It is about the post war plight of the severely wounded.
