When the future arrives to Bolivia's Salar de Uyuni, one of the most secluded places on the planet, the destiny of this ancient salt flat is unearthed and one young salt gatherer becomes the last link between the old world and the new.

Fifteen year old Georgiana is left to raise her 6 siblings in Bacau (Romania), since mother has to work abroad to get by. Torn between adolescence and heavy responsibilities, the teenage girl struggles to keep everyone afloat.

In their small village in the Cuban countryside, Leonel (9) and Antuán (13) have been friends for their entire lives. But Antuán will move to Habana at the end of the summer and these holidays might be the last they ever spend together.

The true story of a community's struggle with loss and devastation after a former school teacher opens fire during a church service in East Texas in 1980. 30 years after that tragic day, survivors share their journey of dealing with trauma that few experience. With candor and vulnerability they share about the shock to there faith, pain of loss, forgiveness, revenge and the memories they relive every time there is a public shooting today. They remember the moments four valiant men raced into the face of bullets with no thought of their own safety, making a way for 350 others to fulfill their lives. Their story journeys from the pit of heartbreak and despair to restoration, ultimately letting go of anger and hatred to find peace again in everyday living.

The filmmaker discovers that her family has a dark secret. The brother of her grand father was one of Norway's most important Nazis during the German occupation of Norway. This has been a family secret until she turns 30.
