Highland Tower tells the story of the adventures of Shima who is the host for a television program. Shima wanted to produce a documentary on the paranormal and chose the popular location of the Highland Towers tragedy in Hillview Park, Hulu Klang that once collapsed on December 11, 1993.

In 1996, the horror master Wes Craven (A Nightmare on Elm Street) unleashed Scream, a slasher movie aimed at a whole new generation of teenage movie-goers.
