Summary Hoarder houses have always interested me. I have seen a few over the years. This farmhouse has been abandoned for approx. 6 years. Each room is just full top to bottom with stuff. Each room had a collection of different items in it. A single man lived here and I am unable to find out what happened to him. Shockingly with all the weight of the stuff on the main floor, parts of the floor has collapsed crashing down to the basement. I have also found what I believe is a lot of blood on the book shelve and items on the floor. What happened here? Hoarding often creates such cramped living conditions that homes may be filled to capacity, with only narrow pathways winding through stacks of clutter. Counter-tops, sinks, stoves, desks, stairways and virtually all other surfaces are usually piled with stuff. And when there's no more room inside, the clutter may spread to the garage, vehicles, yard and other storage facilities. Hoarding disorder is a persistent difficulty discarding or parting with possessions because of a perceived need to save them. A person with a hoarding disorder experiences distress at the thought of getting rid of the items. Excessive accumulation of items, regardless of actual value, occurs.
