'Dreaming of a family' is about 55-year-old Per and his attempt to reunite his family after a hard life of alcohol abuse. Years ago, Per and his alcoholic girlfriend Christina had a daughter, and he decided to stop drinking. However, the mother continued her abused and as a consequence their relationship ended. She vanished out of their lives. Over the past 8 years, Per's nine-year-old daughter has been in foster care but she visits her dad every other weekend. Per decides his daughter must know the history of her biological parents after he is diagnosed with a serious health issues. He gets in touch with the mother again and they fall back in love. Per's dream of a real family returns.

In the third segment of the "Razilee and Elijah Series". Elijah learns to reconnect, and explore new beginnings in a very visual and innovative way, while dealing with past intervals from traumatic loss.

The film takes us on a journey through the periphery, which, despite being right on our doorstep, is entirely unfamiliar territory for most of us. Think of the late afternoon drive to IKEA. A trip through a characterless landscape that appears to express nothing whatsoever. It is as if we had parked the car on the hard shoulder, climbed over the barrier and fought our way through the brambles to the white areas on our mental map. The alleged no-man's land between dual carriageways and wastelands is inhabited by people who have claimed this territory for themselves, in order to create their own dominion-archipelagos in an almost incomprehensible void on the borders of the city, liberated spaces full of passion and extraordinary plans.
