A personal journey of discovery following his dramatic near death experience. Trying to escape a violent and alcoholic past, Stephen Mulhearn finds himself on the brink of death in a Glasgow hospital. As he leaves his body on the operating table he encounters a spiritual master who brings him back to life. Leaving hospital, Stephen embarks on a quest to track down the woman who saved him. On the way he experiences miraculous rituals; gathering profound insights from shamans and healers in North and South America. Returning home, he is guided to scale an ancient Druid mountain in search of his Celtic ancestors. A new identity rooted in their daily hustle, humor, and struggle bound by an addiction to huffing glue to cope with the growing difficulties of street life.
