Lamma.. My Island is the discovery of Lamma Island. 25 minutes away from one the most exciting and hustling cosmopolitan Hong Kong Island. An island like no other island with a history as a fishing village. With a philosophy of life which depicts the relationships of the islanders in terms of caring of each other like a family. An island where people and dogs live in harmony. Forty years ago, there were only a dozen of foreigners. At the present time, there is a huge representation of 55 countries around the world summing around 300 plus none Chinese residents.

Silent Longing is a story about two childless couples who use endless infertility treatments to have a biological child of their own. It is an emotional journey where the idea of a child turns into a silent longing with no certainty of fulfillment.

'Classical Steel' features the steel band in the role of symphony orchestra, very faithfully reproducing the works of the classical masters. This documentary features pan players and steel orchestras from different parts of the world, calling attention to the growth of the steel band movement around the world and the acceptance of the steel pan as a legitimate musical instrument.

Cathy and Martin Ward, a stereotypical North American suburban couple, fight for years to adopt five siblings from a remote Ukrainian orphanage. When they finally succeed, a new drama unfolds. A sensitive and emotional oldest girl Yuliya, who is eighteen, finds it unbearable to accept that the younger siblings don't need her care and protection any more. She forms much stronger bond with her adoptive father Martin than with Cathy, her adoptive mother, and rebels against suburban values. Yuliya's struggle to find her place in a new family becomes an ultimate test of her adoptive parents' ability to love unconditionally.'

The rhythm of life of nomadic Mongolians, and how the Madam games - the second oldest athletic competition in the world - helps keep their culture alive and vital in the face of sweeping economic and environmental changes. The film follows a 9 year old girl over the course of a year as she weathers a brutal winter, tends to her herd of sheep and goats, and then competes in horse races across the countryside.
