S2.E13 ∙ Saving Our Oceans

In the San Pedro male prison of La Paz, Bolivia, 1500 prisoners coexist in a space originally designed for only 300 nuns. Inside, it is like a small city, with businesses and services abound. The prisoners make their living inside the enclosure as they would outside. There is a strong self-organization that plans every-body's lives. As if it weren't enough, there are hundreds of women, wives of the inmates, and almost 300 children, who chose to share their captivity. They are non-convicted beings that accepted living behind bars with the only purpose of preserving a united family. The documentary shows the life of a family inside the jail of La Paz.

The story follows rise and fall of Lost Vagueness, Glastonbury's vintage-themed entertainment area; started as niche, grew to media sensation but collapsed under commercial pressures, inspiring offshoot area Shangri-La.

As a teenager, Andre Robert Lee's full scholarship to attend a prestigious Philadelphia prep school was supposed to be his way up and out out of the ghetto, but this elite education came at a high personal cost. Join him as he revisits the events of his adolescence while also spending time with current-day prep school students to see how much has changed inside the ivory tower and find out who really pays the consequences for yesterday's accelerated desegregation and today's racial naivete.
