Summary Remember watching this BBC program when I was at school, 'The Big Time' was about people of the public stepping into the world of professional people, (actors singers wrestlers etc) I have always had a very good memory and the story of lol Cottrell ( think he was a Sunday league player) where he was trained to play for Liverpool in a testimonial match for Tommy Smith, I think he comes on for the last few minutes of the game and gets asked to take a penalty, can't find any clips on YouTube.
