The film's action happens in the Donbas region of Ukraine in the present day. The protagonist is the Slovak Mira, who leaves his life in England behind to go to the Luhansk People's Republic. He sees his mission in the restoration of symbols of the Soviet empire: the monuments to Lenin, to miners, to workers.

Yael and Melissa met 7 year ago, while working as strippers in Japan. Yael an, Israeli photographer, filmed their blooming friendship. In the USA we found Mellissa struggling one day at the time. The heart of this film is the powerful reunion of two courageous, sincere women.

We wanted to make a film about a teenage mother. We met Joana in a casting that took place in Setubal, in the Bela Vista neighborhood.
