Summary Beginning of the journey in Salvador de Bahia: Tiga meets Bira Santos , a musician and they walk to the "Pelourinho square: they see the house of Jorge Amado and Bira speaks about the pillory where Black slaves were castigated: then they see the baroque houses of the old town (Unesco World heritage site) and the Michael Jackson fans club.Later they visit the Church of Our Lady Rosary built by the slaves in the 18th century: songs and drums music.Finally they arrive at the Lacerda elevator and enjoy the panorama. After Bira and Tiga go to a ice-cream shop where they meet Jen Waak, Bira's wife and Tiga tastes a pitanga ice-cream. Later Tiga and Bira visit the shop of Claudio Damian Valpols Fernandez and look at the precious gems of Brazil.In the night Jen is playing drums in the streets with other musicians.On the next day Tiga travels to Diogo where she meets Sophie Jacquet who manages the "Too Cool Na Bahia Pousada": they enjoy the panorama of the dunes and the beaches and have a walk to the beach. On the morning Tiga pays a visit to female weavers who work with the "piassava" fibers, she bought a little bag and later Tiga enjoys a "moqueca" of fishes and prawns.Back to Salvador de Bahia Tiga meets Tacun Lecy, a photographer and they go to capoeira school: the capoeira master Azoado explains her the story of the capoeira dance.Later Tiga and Tacun meets Ana Cassia Pereira , a model , there is a shooting of Ana with her traditional dress: they arrive at the "acarajé" restaurant and Tiga tastes the famous "acarajé", a fritter of beans of onions.Then Tiga travels to Rio de Janeiro: in an inn he meets the chef Julia Souza, they take a "caipirinha" and enjoy the panorama of the city.Then they walk through the favelas of Santa Teresa and Lapa : they admire the steps of Jorge Selaron (mosaics of all parts of the world) and finally arrive at Copacabana beach, there a fishermen cooperative sells fishes and Julia buys flounders.They go to the beach and eat flounder ceviche.On the next day they go to to the "Lagoa de Freitas", a huge lagoon and visit the botanical garden of Rio de Janeiro (54 hectares, about 10.000 species of plants): they meet Julio Cesar , a garden designer who shows them some medicinal herbs and the "macabo".Finally Tiga ends her journey at the statue of the Christ Redeemer on the Corcovago mountain.
