Summary Beginning of the journey in Annecy: Raphaël meets Stéphane Thebaut (Television presenter) : they walk through the old town ( the Palais de l'Ile) and cross Le "Pâquier", a great green space near the lake.On the next day Raphaël pays a visit to Roger Quenet and Jacques Gassiot (Association les Vieux Safrans) who restore old boats : a Constantin boat with a 403 Peugeot motor and a wooden boat built in 1913.Later Roger and Raphaël take the sailboat "Daniela" (also a restored boat) and begin their boat tour on the Lake of Annecy: they see the castle of Menthon (which has inspired Walt Disney) and arrive at the castle of Châteauvieux: Hughes de Certeau receive them and explains them the story of the castle ( a fortress in the 10-11th century, the restoration of the castle by Scipion Ruphy whose daughter Isaure Ruphy married Henri de la Barge de Certeau): they visit the romantic pavilion at the lake and then climb the tower to enjoy the panorama. Later Raphaël meets Philippe Batoux, a mountain guide: they travel by boat to Talloires and begin to climb the mountain: there is a waterfall and people doing canyoning, then they reach the summit: and eat a fondue: then they do abseiling and make a bivouac on a portaledge.After that Raphaël meets in Annecy Nathan Paulin, a highliner who will walk on a rope at the Parmelan mountain.Raphaël travels to Le Chinaillon, a mountain village where he meets Didier, the saddler who makes leather belts for cow bells: Didier askes Raphaël to deliver a cow bell to Karine and Michel: so Raphaël goes to the "Col de la Colombière" where he meets the couple: they breed Abondance, Tarine and Montbéliard cows and produce "reblochon fermier", a cheese made in the farm with the milk of the cows of the farm: after milking the cows Karine and Michel prepare the reblochon and finally all the family and Raphaël eat reblochon and bread.Later Raphaël is at the "Lac d'Aiguebelette" in Savoie and goes fishing with Alain Plouzeau, they capture an European whitefish but they release it because it's to small: they go to an island where they see a chapel and go back to the lake where they meet Estelle Cattin-Masson (Rowing club of the lake of Aiguebelette), a female rower who is training for the French national championship of rowing and finally Raphaël enjoys swimming in the lake. Back to Annecy Raphaël meets in the market Georges Paccard (a three Michelin stars) and they agree to have a meal together.Then Raphaël goes to the mountain where he meets Nathan Paulin and his team: they climb the mountain together, Raphaël visits the mountain cabin of the Parmelan managed by Julien Lutz and then look at Nathan and Antoine walking on a rope in this nice landscape.Back to Annecy Raphaël meets again Georges Paccard at his restaurant and they go to his house : Georges prepares for them a trout mousseline and crayfishes.Finally Raphaël meets again Stéphane Thebaut at the "Col de la Forclaz" and they look at the nice panorama . Besides we see zooms about the diving in the Lake of Annecy, about Céline Saccani, the boat captain, about the rebirth of the lake, about the "Fête du Lac" with the fireworks, about the Patrick Danglard, the pilot, about Vinca Richard, about the trout fishing, about the paragliding, about the mountain lakes (diving and scientific investigation), about the summer skiing , about the ultra-trail running and about the wildlife , the chamois and the bearded vulture in the mountains.
