Summary A country with many interesting aspects: the architecture, the Petronas Towers (370 meters high) build in 1996: the guide Ismail Ishak explains that these towers are a symbol of the economic stability of Malaysia whose economic growth is very important.We meet Serena Hijjas , an architect who planned the new administrative and juridical town of Putrajaya. The government is promoting the unity of all the different communities. We travel to the National Parl Park Taman Negara where the Orang Asli are living, people living in thee forests , using blowguns and living in harmony with nature.We know also that there is an animal rescue center for elephants in the the forest. We discover also the Malay martial art of silat: in their exercises they use a sword called kriss.In malacca we follow Rosli Ben Mdzin, a trishaw driver who transports tourists in this town. Now some words about the journey of Jérôme: beginning of the journey in Kula Lumpur.Jérôme meets Kenny Loh, a photographer : they walk through the town, admire the Petronas Towers, and they go to a Taoist Temple : Jérôme makes an offering and then knows his future. Later they go to Chinatown, eat noodles and also a coconut pastry (the Chinese have come for the trade of tea, spices, pewter and rubber), Then Jérôme travels to Cameron Highlands: tea plantation where the harvest is mechanical (like in Turkey and Iran): the workers are Bangladeshi, Nepalese an Indonesian men, they have their own mosque or Hinduist temples.Then Jérôme make a trek in the moss forest.On the morning Jérôme is in a market and tastes durian , a very popular fruit in Malaysia.He travels to Lumut and later to Pangkor Island where he meets Jerrry Choong; they cross the island driving a scooter and buy fishes: later Jerry's mother prepares a dish with fishes and rice. Later Jérôme visits a shipyard on the island.Then he travels to Malacca where he meets Charles Cham, a, painter: they visit the old old town of Malacca, they see a Chinese temple, a mosque and arrive at a Nyonya restaurant: they enjoy Chinese-Malay food and later they see old Portuguese dances.
