Sally est une jeune femme autochtone originaire de la réserve de Lower Post située à la lisière du Yukon. Parvenue à lâge adulte et devenue elle-même mère, elle reconstitue difficilement lhistoire de sa famille dont tous les membres ont été dispersés. Aujourdhui, elle cherche à comprendre pourquoi et comment tout cela est arrivé. Lhistoire personnelle de Sally lève le voile sur un chapitre méconnu de lhistoire des Premières Nations, éclairant sous un jour nouveau les enjeux du combat actuel pour le contrôle de léducation. Acculturation, perte didentité, souffrances mais également guérison et espoir pour les générations à venir, telles sont les différentes étapes du périple que nous allons vivre avec Sally.
